Central Station is "Roma Termini". It was recently reorganized to be modern and adequate for the requirements of large and various customers. The station is placed in a central zone and it is very well connected with the old town centre and with the most important tourist attractions of the city.
The station has a  service center called CAD ( Assistance Center for Disabled Travellers). CAD can provide you with ticket information as well as the reservation of handicap seats in the train. Moreover you can request for personal assitance to help you get in/out of a train and/or the station, take you to a connecting train and take you up or down the stairs in wheelchair lifters or elevators.

In these airports there are welcome and  assistance for operations of embarkation and disembarkation, and also for the stop inside the departure, connection and arrival airport.

From the airport "Leonardo da Vinci" it's possible to arrive at the station "Roma Termini" with the direct railway connection "Leonardo Express". "Leonardo Express" provides on demand the disabled with a service of shuttle for wheelchairs and a service accompanying on the train. In addition, it informs the personnel of "Roma Termini" to help the disabled for getting off the train.

There are two underground lines that connect the old town centre to the outskirts of Rome.
The LINE A covers the line Anagnina - Ottaviano; the LINE B covers the line Laurentina - Rebibbia.
The LINE A is older and has been recently equipped with elevators for the disabled. At the moment not all the stops are accessible.
The LINE B, instead, is more accessible.

Bus that are accessible for disabled passengers also circulate on all the main urban lines. At present, however, not all stops are accessible because of problems regarding kerb levels.
