Summer in Rome propose you a lot of events in all city from city centre to outskirtst. You can find everything: from free concerts to different events for any taste.

Estate Romana has its 30th anniversary and has became the custom phenonomenon.
This event was launched with the aim to show Rome citizens how to make use of public space in response to the violence of Anni di piombo "years of lead", in the end of 1970s. The will to escape from the political scene brought to life the Estate romana,that today has its 30th anniversary and maintain its atristic languages mix described by the experiment and multiculture.

The calendar of the summer 2007 is worth being noticed especially becouse of the music. Between famous artistic myths and young promises Circo Massimo was a theatre in waiting for the reuion of Genesis. People that were popular also thirty years ago but hasnt lost their determination and vitality.

There are also "italian lions", between which we can find: Gino Paoli (29 July), Franco Battiato (28 July) e Carmen Consoli (27 July) that will perform one after another in Auditorium.

In estate romana 2007 there is also something for those who like to dance: Ricky Martin at Romarock (17 July) or Avril Lavigne (18 July), Pink (the only italian date 25 luglio in Auditorium) and english Scissor Sisters (17 July). A lot of these concerts are the part of the other famous festivals.

Like XIV edition of Villa Celimontana Jazz festival, important jazz event not only for Italy but also at the international field for all the jazz artists. In program from 16 June (it starts with concert of Stefano Di Battista that comes back with quartet to present the new album) to 14 August.

The aim of commistioni of styles di stili, we point out "Roma incontra il mondo", concerts of popular and multi-etnic music comes back at Villa Ada from 14 June to 5 August.
For those who like the open air big events, also the one at Ippodromo di Capannelle come back with two events in one: Fiesta! and RomaRock Festival. Between all names the one that stands out is the portorican artist Ricky Martin, on 17 July, for the first time in Rome. Amasing closing , on 27 July with Avion Traveland and their new formation.

Also Foro Italico takes part in estate romana. Here we find the best laziale win and food in the next 45 days of degustation, congresses, theares, workshops for adults and kids, concerts.

Music manifestation "Roma Incontra il Mondo 2007" takes place near the little lake Villa Ada and its easy to reach from Via di Ponte Salario, near via Olimpica. The area opens at 20.
Inside the area of the manifestation it is possible to eat in pizzeria and self service restaurants of arabic, indian and italian cuisine.
The cost of the ticket for each show is written in the program that you can find on this website. Season ticket for 7 concerts costs 15,00 euro and includes concerts at: 15, 17, 18, 20 and 26 of June and 3, 5, 13, 17, 19 e 23 of July. If concerts on one or more days of these 7 days will nnot take place, the ticket is extended to cover 7 concerts.

FESTA DE' NOANTRI - TRASTEVERE IN FESTA

Notti Romane al Teatro di Marcello

The Rassegna “Notti Romane al Teatro di Marcello”, with its long history is bringing its sixteenth edition of performances, music, poetry and theatre (of the greatest roman, latin and greek writers) in places were already during last twenty centuries it hosted games and sacred ceremonies.
The summer manifestation as the part of Estate Romana presents to Rome audience foreign artists that are not yet well known in our country next to the best italian musicians with the wide range of repertory.
The perfect atmosfere to dream : place where every personage of antic and modern history left their trace.
There will be also a lot of international well known soloists (like charismatic japonese pianist Hiroshi Takasu, the star of the traditional concert of Ferragosto) and chamber music grups that will have their shows during the long summer of Tempietto. You will be able to see on the scene pianists, flautists, guitarists, cellists, liric singers that will bring to life the colourful and variety music.
Il Tempietto does not only have concerts that take place in the most fascinating places in the word, but like always it promises new events : poetic and literary performances, historical-archeological descripitions and out of program modern music with many guests.
The concerts take place even if the weather is not good in a fascinating and historical place which has the “umbrella”for the audience and musicans.
